My client is seeking a strategic marketing leader to direct and elevate an iconic fragrance portfolio in Japan. In this role, the candidate will bridge global brand excellence with the dynamic nuances of the Japanese retail landscape, driving customer acquisition, brand desirability, and sales growth. It is for an internationally acclaimed luxury house renowned for its deep appreciation of art, culture, craftsmanship, and lifestyle. 360° Strategy & Campaign Execution: Lead local marketing plans across digital, retail, PR, and experiential events while adapting global guidelines to maximize market impact.
HQ & Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner regularly with international HQ, agency partners, and local Sales and Training teams to support retail activations and launch strategies.
Market Insights & Performance Governance: Conduct consumer research, track KPIs, monitor competition, and deliver data-driven reporting to General Management.
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Build, guide, and motivate a high-performing marketing team, fostering their ongoing professional growth and operational excellence.
Financial & P&L Oversight: Manage marketing budgets, pricing strategies, stock levels, and promotional ratios to optimize profitability and return on investment.
Experience: 8–10+ years in marketing, including at least 5 years in a leadership role within the luxury or beauty sector.
Education: Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Luxury Brand Management.
Key Skills: Strategic mindset, data-informed decision-making, team leadership, high adaptability, and proven negotiation skills.
Languages: Professional fluency in Japanese and English (knowledge of Spanish or French is a plus).
