Financial Integrity & Reporting: Oversee accurate monthly/annual closings, complete General Ledger management, and produce true-and-fair financial statements compliant with local GAAP and IFRS.
Audit & Tax Management: Manage year-end audits to secure unqualified opinions, ensure tax compliance, and handle timely filings in coordination with global HQ.
Operations & Bookkeeping: Supervise accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, payroll support, and local authority reporting.
Internal Controls: Guarantee 100% compliance with local legislation and global accounting guidelines; implement efficient internal policies.
Process Optimization: Drive efficiency through streamlined workflows and continuous tool optimization (e.g., SAP integration).
Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing local accounting team, setting clear targets, conducting fair appraisals, and nurturing talent.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) qualification.
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Japanese tax law, Local GAAP, and IFRS.
Systems: Hands-on proficiency in SAP (FI, CO, COPA, BI) is mandatory; HFM knowledge is a strong plus.
Languages: Fluent English (written and spoken) and Japanese
